Tony Richardson

Tony is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Tony has been in the IT industry since 1993, and has earned more than 20 product certifications. He is a member of the Founders Circle for the Microsoft Alumni Foundation, and in 2009, the Puget Sound Business Journal recognized Tony as one of Seattle’s “Top 40 Under 40” for his business leadership and community involvement.
Tony is an Industry Advisor at Meridian Capital, specializing in the Technology Sector. As an Industry Analyst, Tony advises management teams and shareholders on strategic and corporate finance decisions as well as on implementation of strategic initiatives. Prior to Meridian, Tony co-founded Xtreme Consulting Group, Inc, an international business and IT services firm that delivers consulting services across multiple sectors and regions. Xtreme experienced rapid growth through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions (including Blackfin Technology, Kipe Technologies and Synergy Seven), and is regularly recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the state and nation. Prior to Xtreme, Tony was at Microsoft where he served in multiple roles including Technologist, Senior Consultant, Technology Specialist and Systems Engineer. While in Microsoft Consulting Services, he worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies on technology architecture, design and implementation.
Tony plays an active role in the local community. He serves on several non-profit boards including the Group Health Foundation and software startup, Virsera. Tony is a Visiting Committee member of the University of Washington Department of Economics, where he regularly interacts with undergraduates and mentor’s students. He serves on the Tyee Board of Advisors for the University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics. Tony and his wife, Michelle, are active members of the University of Washington President’s club and created an Endowment Fund at the University of Washington awarded annually to an Economics, Business, or Engineering student.
