Illar Kaasik
Managing Partner Prudentia Estionian Office at Prudentia
llar Kaasik is a Managing Partner at Prudentia. He is based in Tallin, Estonia.
He was one of the founding partners of Investment Agency (Prudentia’s predecessor). Prior to establishing Investment Agency, Illar worked in banking (1991-2001), holding various leading positions in Virumaa Kommertspank, Eesti Maapank and Ühisliising.
During the period of 2001-2020, Illar managed and led to closing numerous transactions. Including, among others, sale of 25 000 m2 commercial real estate portfolio owned by three separate business entities, sale of the majority shares of the metal and mechanical engineering company Remeksi Keskus, sale of Estonia’s largest vegetable producer Laheotsa Talu, sale of the manufacturer of plastic packing goods Polyformi, restructuring and sale of cooperative Jõhvi Piim.
Illar Kaasik has been a member of the council in several companies, such as Eesti Põlevkivi, Rail Baltic Estonia and Viimsi Vesi. In addition, Illar has been involved in the work of several municipal budget and development committees, gaining experience of the structure of the processes of municipal development plans and budgeting.
